Join us to learn all how food waste can be turned into energy and liquid fertiliser using a 'Biodigester'.
A Biodigester is a standalone unit that transforms organic waste (food scraps) into cooking gas whilst also creating a liquid fertiliser for the garden. We will be demonstrating how to use a Biodigester as well as running cooking demonstrations using the cooking gas it produces.
We will be hosting 'drop in' sessions with short demonstrations and Q&A:
Between 4pm & 6pm Thursday 20th April
Between 10am & 12pm Saturday 6th May
These sessions will be held at Coburg Courtyard, inside the carpark at 28 Victoria St Coburg. These session are run by Open Table, a community food charity dedicated to fighting food waste and are funded by Lord Mayor’s Charitable Foundation and run in partnership with Merri-bek Council.
